After researching more into the topic of Posthumanism and thinking more about architecture as an experience, I have worked up another three drawings to try and represent my ideas. While still not entirely happy with them I think they are a step in the right direction and it has been a good exercise in order to figure out what the next stages will be.
THEME; Posthuman. Through the reading done so far, the way in which we are already posthuman, and in the future will merge with technology - with heightened senses and a much more complex way of being. How this will affect the way in which architects design. Creating multi-sensory experiences - the built environment becomes an experience.
FORM; Re-purposing abandoned buildings throughout the town centre of Huddersfield. What kind of spaces would be required in a building if we are merged with the technology that will create the experiences?
SITE; Streets with low footfall throughout the town centre could be used - environments loaded into them? How would this work?
